Note(s):

*Students interested in elementary teaching should take KIN 3100  and GSC 2120 /GSC 2120L  to meet the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing’s definition of  ”subject matter competent,” a requirement to enter a teaching credential program. Taking KIN 4430  or GSC 1100  will apply towards graduation but will not provide the subject matter content necessary to qualify as subject matter competent for an elementary education teaching credential program. Students who do not complete these courses are responsible for acquiring the missing content to prepare for the credential program, which will not reteach it.
