Explore the complexities and diverse contexts of children’s play through the lens of social justice and equity. Examine the relationship between young children’s play and ELC (Early Learning and Care), emergent curriculum, and environments. Fieldwork assignment is required. *15 hours of fieldwork in an assigned quality infant and toddler early learning environment.

Prerequisite(s): C or better in the following: ECS 1000, ECS 1100, ECS 2350, ECS 3310 or ECS 3500, ECS 3100, and ECS 3400.
