The added authorization in Adapted PE permits candidates to teach physical education to student with disabilities. Courses are designed to ensure that candidates have opportunities to develop a broad education and philosophical background on which to base their APE program decisions. The authorization may be added to a basic or initial credential. Core courses include:

Required Core Courses: 27 units
