BIO 4585 - Ecotoxicology (3) How to think critically about pollutants in the environment - how they interact with biological systems, and how they affect individuals, populations, communities, ecosystems, and our society. Promoting an understanding of: the scientific process for investigating the effects of toxicants on biological systems; the major types and sources of contamination, including environmental disasters; how biological systems and society are affected by, and respond to the issues that pollutants create.
