EWS 4070 - Diverse Gender and Sexual Identities (3) Survey the various ways that gender and sexuality are constructed, policed, and resisted in the United States. An interdisciplinary perspective will analyze the relationships to other forms of identity including race, class, and citizenship. Sociological, ethnographic and historical discourse to frame our analysis and utilize media, art, literature, and the social sciences to capture the complex ways that genders and sexualities function. Surveys the various ways that gender and sexuality are constructed, policed, and resisted in the United States.
