STA 2100 - Introduction to Statistics (4) Population and sample data; random sampling; numerical and graphical summarization of data; basic probability concepts, including binomial and normal distributions; sampling distributions and the central limit theorem; point estimates, confidence intervals, and hypothesis tests for one- and two-sample mean and proportion problems; contingency tables and chi-squared tests; simple linear regression and correlation; one-way ANOVA; illustration with statistical software packages used throughout.
