CHE 3021 - Chemical Engineering Thermodynamics I (3) Energy and its transformations; conversion of heat to work; first and second law analyses; property relationships; equations of state; equilibrium at minimum Gibbs free energy, Clausius-Clapeyron equation, vapor-liquid phase equilibria for pure fluids and mixtures of ideal solutions; thermodynamics of mixtures; partial molar properties and excess Gibbs free energy.
