A comprehensive description of the phonetic and phonological system of Spanish, as well as an overview of the geographical linguistic variation in the Spanish-speaking world.

Prerequisite(s): SPN 250, SPN 251, SPN 252, SPN 253, SPN 254, SPN 256, SPN 2112 , or SPN 2120 .
