BIO 3030 - Sexually Transmitted Diseases and Safer Sex (3) An overview of the biology of sexually-transmitted diseases (STD), including AIDS and the impact these diseases and current therapies have on society at large. Topics include distribution, transmission, sexual practices, effect on immune system, treatments, prevention, testing and counseling. Course fulfills GE Synthesis B5.
Prerequisite(s): Junior or senior standing; and Lower division GE requirements in Areas A and B. GE Area(s): B5 Component(s): Lecture Grading Basis: Graded Only Repeat for Credit: May be taken only once Note(s): May be used as approved elective, but not for required upper division credit by students with majors in the Biological Sciences Department.
