Roadmap Notes

Any 3 units of GE Area A1: Oral Communication (3) is an acceptable substitution for COM 2204 Advocacy and Argument if the equivalent course of COM 2204 was not taken at the previous institution and COM 2204 could not be taken within 60 units at CPP.

Any 3 units of GE Area A2: Written Communication (3) is an acceptable substitution for ENG 1103 First Year Composition if the equivalent course of ENG 1103 was not taken at the previous institution and ENG 1103 could not be taken within 60 units at CPP.

Any 3 units of GE Area A3: Critical Thinking (3) is an acceptable substitution for ENG 2105 Written Reasoning if the equivalent course of ENG 2105 was not taken at the previous institution and ENG 2105 could not be taken within 60 units at CPP.

Any 3 units of GE Area B2: Life Sciences (3) is an acceptable substitution for BIO 1150 Basic Biology and BIO 1150L Basic Biology Laboratory if the equivalent course of BIO 1150 and BIO 1150L was not taken at the previous institution and BIO 1150 and BIO 1150L could not be taken within 60 units at CPP.

Any 3 units of GE Area C2: Literature, Modern Languages, Philosophy and Civilization is an acceptable substitution for AG 1110 Agriculture: The Foundation of Civilizations if the equivalent course of AG 1110 was not taken at the previous institution and AG 1110 could not be taken within 60 units at CPP.

Any 3 units of GE Area B4: Mathematics/Quantitative Reasoning (3) is an acceptable substitution for MAT 1060 Trigonometry if the equivalent course of MAT 1060 was not taken at the previous institution and MAT 1060 could not be taken within 60 units at CPP.

Students are expected to have completed BIO 1150 Basic Biology and BIO 1150L Basic Biology Laboratory for completion of Area B2. Note that at many community colleges that the BIO course needed to take the equivalents forBIO 2060 /BIO 2060L and BIO 2350 /BIO 2350L may be a lower division Biology course than the course that satisfies the major requirement.
