ECS 3500 - Contextual Approaches to Early Childhood Curriculum (3) Survey of early childhood curricular models and programs with an emphasis on policy, recommended practices, and research implications with appreciation for diverse funds of knowledge. Examination of early childhood environments that support diverse child development in school, community, and family settings. The role of children’s play is integrated throughout this course. Fieldwork assignment required.
Prerequisite(s): ECS 100 or ECS 1000 , ECS 210 or ECS 2100 , ECS 210A or ECS 2100A , and ECS 235 or ECS 2350 . Component(s): Lecture Grading Basis: Graded Only Repeat for Credit: May be taken only once
