Students in the blended Bachelor of Arts in English - Applied Language Studies Subplan/Option and Master of Arts in English - Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages Subplan/Option program will complete the requirements for both the BA and MA degrees.

English, B.A. - Applied Linguistics Subplan/Option: 120 units 
English, M.A. - Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages Subplan/Option: 30-31 units  

Double-Counting of Courses

Students in the blended program may double-count the following four courses (12 units) towards their BA and MA degrees:

• ENG 4212 Language Acquisition (3)  
• ENG 4223 Applied Phonology (3)  
• ENG 4231 Pedagogical Grammar for Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (3)  
• ENG 4230 Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (3)  

These courses cannot be substituted with other courses; no exceptions.
