Minor Electives: 12 units

Select at least 12 units of elective mathematics courses, with the restrictions listed below. 

• At least 9 units must be at the upper division level.
• Up to 3 units of lower division units may be selected from MAT 2010 /MAT 2010L  , STA 2100 , or STA 2260 ; no other lower division units may be counted towards the elective units for the minor.
• For upper division units, any 3000 or 4000 level MAT or STA course (except MAT 3940 , and except MAT 3950 ) may be selected.
• Up to 4 units of STA courses in total may be included in the Mathematic Minor. For additional STA coursework, please see instead the Statistics Minor.
• For students considering graduate work in mathematics, MAT 3100W , MAT 3140 , and MAT 4170  are strongly recommended.
