Mathematics Minor: 28 units

Minor Required: 15-16 units

• MAT 1140 - Calculus I (4)
• MAT 1150 - Calculus II (4)
• MAT 2140 - Calculus III (4)

• MAT 2240 - Elementary Linear Algebra and Differential Equations (3) or
• MAT 2250 - Linear Algebra with Applications to Differential Equations (4)

Minor Electives: 12-13 units

Select 13 (or 12 if 16 units taken in minor required) units of elective mathematics courses, with the restrictions listed below. 

• At least 9 units must be at the upper division level.
• No more than one of MAT 2010 /MAT 2010L  , STA 2100 , or STA 2260  may be applied to the minor.
• No more than 5 units of upper division STA courses can be counted towards the Mathematic Minor (see instead the Statistics Minor). 
• The courses MAT 3940 , MAT 3950 , MAT 4410 , MAT 4610 , MAT 4630 , MAT 4950 , and MAT 4960  may not be used to satisfy the upper division unit requirement. All other upper division mathematics and statistics courses may be applied to the minor.
