The Kinesiology and Health Promotion (KHP) Department mission is to educate, mentor, and inspire students through scientific inquiry and hands‑on learning.  

The KHP Department emphasizes scientific inquiry and experiential learning grounded in curiosity, integrity, collaboration, inclusivity, and innovation-values central to our strategic plan. The strategic objective of the department is to investigate ways to advance the art of science of health and human movment. It offers a Bachelor of Science alongside a Master of Science. Faculty engage in cutting‑edge research-including postural analysis, neuromechanical control of movement, aging, human performance optimization, athlete transitions, fitness technologies and behavior modification, athlete activism, health outcomes, adapted physical education, cultural competency, emotional health and wellbeing, physical activity and public health.

Students benefit from robust facilities, including our state of the art exercise science laboratory, which support both undergraduate and graduate instruction and research. The department fosters cross‑disciplinary engagement while preparing students for teaching, clinical, allied health, corporate wellness, sport industry, and public health roles. The KHP Club and the Pre‑PT/OT are two student clubs serving our undergraduate students.
