Cal Poly Pomona’s Electrical & Computer Engineering department offers ABET-accredited Bachelor of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering, alongside a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering. With a curriculum grounded in the “learn by doing” philosophy, students engage in extensive hands-on laboratories-covering circuits, embedded systems, signal processing, and power electronics-alongside rigorous theoretical instruction. Faculty with industry and research expertise guide students in real-world applications, fostering a learning culture rooted in practical problem-solving, innovation, and ethical professionalism.
Students build their skills through multidisciplinary senior capstone projects, access to state-of-the-art labs, and involvement in applied research within the Master of Science in Electrical Engineering program. Co-curricular opportunities through Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Eta Kappa Nu honor society, and other student organizations provide professional development, networking, and technical workshops.
