Cal Poly Pomona’s Electrical & Computer Engineering department offers ABET-accredited Bachelor of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering, alongside a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering. With a curriculum grounded in the “learn by doing” philosophy, students engage in extensive hands-on laboratories-covering circuits, embedded systems, signal processing, and power electronics-alongside rigorous theoretical instruction. Faculty with industry and research expertise guide students in real-world applications, fostering a learning culture rooted in practical problem-solving, innovation, and ethical professionalism.

Students build their skills through multidisciplinary senior capstone projects, access to state-of-the-art labs, and involvement in applied research within the Master of Science in Electrical Engineering program. Co-curricular opportunities through Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Eta Kappa Nu honor society, and other student organizations provide professional development, networking, and technical workshops. With strong advising, career support, and industry partnerships, Electrical and Computer Engineering graduates emerge as proficient professionals ready to contribute to sectors such as telecommunications, power systems, computing, cybersecurity, robotics, and beyond.
