CE 526 - Finite Element Analysis (4) Theory and application of finite element analysis, topics covered in this course are focused on the structural engineering aspects of the FEM, which are: 1D elements, bars and beams; 2D elements, plates and shells; 3D elements, isoparametric elements; static and dynamic analysis; linear and nonlinear analysis; modeling issues and considerations; and commercial software usage.
Prerequisite(s): Undergraduate course in structural analysis; CE 501 or ARO 329 and graduate standing. Component(s): 4 lectures/problem-solving.
