The design process as it relates to building materials and construction and the interaction of aesthetic, technological and economic determinants. Introduction to building codes. All prerequisites must be successfully completed with a letter grade of a C or higher to qualify for enrollment in this course.

Corequisite(s): ARC 5031 , ARC 5521A , ARC 5520A , and ARC 5522A .
Prerequisite(s): ARC graduate standing; ARC 502 or ARC 5020 ; ARC 502L, ARC 5021L , OR ARC 5021A  and ARC 5021 ; ARC 5210 ; and ARC 5212 .
