ARO 4080 - Finite Element Analysis of Structures (3)

Fundamentals of finite elements, including an introduction to the displacement method, development of simple computer codes to implement the method, analysis of simple one and two dimensional structural elements using hand solutions and using finite element software, and basics of structural idealization for finite element analysis in industry. Introduction to NASTRAN.

Prerequisite(s): ARO Major, and C or better in ARO 326 or ARO 3271 .
Grading Basis: Graded Only
