AVS 1114L - Food Animal Production Laboratory (1)


A study of the commonly applied animal techniques and practices used to scientifically manage livestock in the commercial food animal industry. The laboratory will emphasize the importance of evaluating business management strategies, equipment and facilities, nutrition, genetics and selection, breeding principles and herd health plans in order of evaluate scientifically based domestic animal livestock management methodologies. Product fee required.

Prerequisite(s): AVS major.
