PSY 4170 - Basic Counseling Skills (3) Overview of the basic elements of helping relationships. Emphasis on exploration and development of basic communication skills used in counseling and psychotherapy, such as building rapport, empathy, active listening, questioning, reflecting, clarifying, probing, confronting, and interpreting.
