ECS 4750W - Early Childhood Inquiry and Methodology (3) The study of learning and development, emphasizing appropriate research methods, including statistics, probability, and applications of research findings related to early education, child development, and related fields. Evaluating, synthesizing, and applying information from peer-reviewed empirical studies will provide students with the skills to distinguish between appropriate and inappropriate applications of research findings. Issues related to interpreting research through critical social justice and anti-racist lenses and how to communicate research findings will also be explored. Writing-Intensive courses must be passed with a C or higher to count towards the University’s 3-unit Writing Requirement.
Prerequisite(s): C or better in ECS 1000 , ECS 2010 , and ECS 2010A and senior standing Grading Basis: Graded Only Repeat for Credit: May be taken only once When Offered: Fall, Spring Course Category: Major Required Course
