The design process as it relates to building materials and construction. The interaction of aesthetic, technological, and economic determinants. Introduction to building codes. *A special section of ARC 2990L will be assigned to students who do not pass the portfolio review. Passing this class with a C or better will satisfy the portfolio requirement.

Corequisite(s): ARC 3010A, ARC 3011A, ARC 3220, and ARC 3222.
Prerequisite(s): ARC undergraduate standing, ARC 2021A, ARC 2021, and ARC 2502A.
