Comprehensive study of Chinese civilizational heritage and cultural traditions from cross-cultural and interdisciplinary perspectives. Reading and discussion focus on Chinese philosophy, literature, art, and sciences to achieve an in-depth synthetic understanding of China’s past and present. The course is taught in English.

Prerequisite(s): Junior or senior standing; and completion of GE Areas 1 and 2, or Areas A and B4 are recommended.
