Explores the relationship between technological development and social life. How technology impacts society and how social, political and economic factors inhibit and encourage the development of technology is key. Issues of inequality regarding access are central.

Prerequisite(s): Junior or senior standing; and completion of GE Areas 1 and 2, or Areas A and B4 are recommended.
