Explores contemporary Asian Pacific Islander American issues including US immigration policies, Asian migration movements, divers ethnic traditions within Asian America, employment, education, family, ethnic resilience, inter-ethnic and intra-Asian relationship, pan-Asian identity, social justice, race relationship and media representations of Asians and Asian Americans examined from perspectives of history, sociology, cultural/ ethnic and gender studies.

Prerequisite(s): Junior or senior standing; and completion of GE Areas 1 and 2, or Areas A and B4 are recommended.
