The design process as it relates to building materials and construction. The interaction of aesthetic, technological, and economic determinants. Introduction to building codes. *A special section of ARC 2990L will be assigned to students who do not pass the portfolio review. Passing this class with a C or better will satisfy the portfolio requirement.

Prerequisite(s): ARC Undergraduate Standing; 2nd year Portfolio Review passed*; ARC 203L or ARC 2021L; MAT 106, MAT 1060, MAT 1140, MAT 1150, MAT 2140, MAT 2250, MAT 2010, MAT 3100W, MAT 3140, MAT 4170 or MAT 4280; and PHY 1210/PHY 1210L or PHY 121L.
