Two and three dimensional equilibrium of particles and rigid bodies including frames, machines and trusses employing vector algebra. Principles of friction, centroids and centers of gravity, mass and area moments of inertia. Shear and moment diagrams for beams.

Prerequisite(s): ME major; C or better in MAT 1140 or MAT 114; and C- or better in the following: PHY 1510 or PHY 131, and PHY 1510L or PHY 131L.
