ECS 3100 - Prenatal to Age Three Development (3) Examines theoretical perspectives and practices related to child development from prenatal to age three. Utilizing a relationship-based framework, analyze how caregiver-infant relationships profoundly influence emotional, linguistic, physical, social, and cognitive development. The diverse cultural, linguistic, and racial lenses honoring families’ unique knowledge and experiences will be emphasized. Furthermore, highlight the critical roles of family partnerships, community support, and family policies as essential components for promoting the well-being of young children.
Prerequisite(s): Junior standing and C or better in ECS 1000 . Grading Basis: Graded Only Repeat for Credit: May be taken only once When Offered: Fall, Spring Course Category: Major Required Course
