GSC 3040 - Meteorology (3) [GE 5D]

Framework topics such as atmospheric structure, composition, global heat budget, pressure and humidity form the base upon which a process-oriented, semi-quantitative, descriptive survey of major weather phenomena, including winds, clouds, precipitation and storms is conducted. Individual or team research presentations describe selected meteorological phenomena or case studies.

Prerequisite(s): Junior or senior standing; and completion of GE Areas 1 and 2, or Areas A and B4 are recommended.
