TH 4100W - Staging American Identities (3) [GE 3C] 20th century American theatre with emphasis on such representative playwrights as O’Neill, Williams, Miller, Hansberry, Albee, Wilson, Valdez, Hwang and Shepard. Examination of production style and cultural patterns, especially in relation to American Ideology, what it means to be American and the American Dream. Writing-Intensive courses must be passed with a C or higher to count towards the University’s 3-unit Writing Requirement.
