MHR 4420W - Full-Time Internship in Business Management (3)

Internship is the integration of classroom theory and practical experience in a planned apprenticeship program. The intern program is based upon the interest and needs of both the student and the employer. The student’s work should be related to his/her field of study and individual interest within the field. The working experience will ideally increase in difficulty as the student progresses through the academic curriculum. Ultimately, the internship is a collaborative agreement involving the internship coordinator, student, and the employer to provide a meaningful and relevant work experience to benefit the company as well as enhance the student’s career development. 36-40 hours of internship work per week. Writing-Intensive courses must be passed with a C or higher to count towards the University’s 3-unit Writing Requirement.

Prerequisite(s): Junior or senior standing, consent of instructor, completion Cal Poly’s internship documentation, and 36-40 hours of internship work per week.
Grading Basis: Graded Only
Repeat for Credit: May be taken multiple times
Minimum - Maximum Units: May be taken up to five times for a total credit of 15 units.
