Expanded discussion of special considerations of the equine regarding anatomy and physiology, diseases and common emergency disorders, facilities management, nutrition, reproduction, transportation, and behavior. Insight into how equids (horse, mule and burro) differ from other livestock species and their unique requirements for the above systems.
