CRM 3390 - Media and Crime (3) Exploration of the complicated relationship between media and crime. Theoretical insights from media studies, sociology, cultural studies, ethnic and area studies, and criminology will be used to problematize this relationship. How media impacts priorities for law enforcement, funding and discourse on crime. How media depictions of crime impact politics, popular culture, economics, and social policy. Fulfills GE synthesis area D4.
