EWS 4040 - Contemporary Asian Pacific Islander American Studies (3) Explores contemporary Asian Pacific Islander American issues including US immigration policies, Asian migration movements, divers ethnic traditions within Asian America, employment, education, family, ethnic resilience, inter-ethnic and intra-Asian relationship, pan-Asian identity, social justice, race relationship and media representations of Asians and Asian Americans examined from perspectives of history, sociology, cultural/ ethnic and gender studies. Course fulfills GE synthesis area D4.
