COM 4447 - Political Communication (3) Study and practice of strategic communication in a socio-political context, including, but not limited to, campaigns and elections, rhetorical governance, and nonprofit communication. Introduces students to political institutions and players influencing policy-making and campaigns and cultivates an understanding of how candidates, public officials, and campaign operatives craft messages and target various audiences in a swiftly-changing media environment. Fulfills GE synthesis area D4.
