EWS 3950 - Methods in Gender and Ethnic Studies (3) Introduction to critical research methods in Ethnic and Gender Studies. Focus on understanding and engaging social science methods that include ethnography, oral history, interviews, testimonials, discourse analysis, archival, participatory action research, community-based, and interdisciplinary research. Explore various theoretical and methodological approaches through which knowledge about racialized/gendered subjects and structures has been constructed, institutionalized, and challenged. Development of a research proposal in preparation for the Capstone Senior Project.
