ECE 4868 - Power Systems Electronics (3)

Power electronic applications for industry and power utilities. The emphasis is on the analysis and design of power system components- including single and three-phase DC rectifiers, controlled rectifiers, and DC to AC converters. Selected applications include HV-DC transmission, resonant converters, AC and DC motor drives, static var control, and power quality issues.

Prerequisite(s): ECE Major; and ECE 2200, ECE 220, or ECE 299.
