AHS 3263 - Companion Animal Nursing and Surgical Skills (2) Instruction on the nursing and surgical skills required to work with companion animals, mainly dogs and cats. How to safely restrain animals, how to use anesthetic and surgical equipment, and how to use proper aseptic technique. Preparation for common surgical procedures. Students must receive a C- or better to advance through the AHS program. 3 hours lecture/discussion.
