Techniques of construction, building components, and systems investigated through case studies. Further exploration of properties of materials used in construction and their specification both in written and drawing formats. Emphasis on systems design for structure, weatherproofing and sustainable design with respect to materials selection/interaction.

Prerequisite(s): ARC graduate standing, ARC 5440 , and ARC 5442 ; or permission of the Graduate Coordinator.
