EDU 5120 - Theory and Practice in Teaching Elementary Social Sciences (3) Examines principles and methodology of teaching, learning, and assessment of History and other Social Sciences in diverse elementary schools. Integrates multicultural and social justice education foundations into curriculum planning. Examines culturally relevant teaching principles for building reciprocal relations with diverse families and communities. May include a maximum of 10 hours of field experience.
Prerequisite(s): Admitted to Multiple Subject Credential; EDU 5010 or TED 406; EDU 5020 , or TED 405 and TED 407; and EDU 5100 . Component(s): Seminar Grading Basis: Graded Only Repeat for Credit: May be taken multiple times Repeat for Credit Limit: 1 Minimum - Maximum Units: Total credit limited to 6 units, with a maximum of 3 units per semester.
