MFE 2211 - Manufacturing Processes- Casting, Forming, Joining, Metal Removal (3)


Theory and practice related to processes dealing with the deformation, consolidation, casting and material removal processes of engineering materials. Modern manufacturing methods are explored with emphasis placed on the application of engineering principles to the production of marketable products. Topics include: molding, casting, powder metallurgy, hot and cold working, welding and material removal.

Prerequisite(s):  MFE 217, MFE 2171 , ETM 2171 , MTE 207, or MTE 2070 .
Corequisite(s): MFE 2211L .
