ARO 5090 - Astronautics (3)


This course covers topics of orbital mechanics for space mission and trajectory design. Topics include the two-body problem, conic sections, orbits in 3-dimensions, ground track of satellite orbits, orbital maneuvers, orbital transfers, relative motion and rendezvous, interplanetary transfers, and gravity assists mission.

Prerequisite(s): ARO Majors only; C or better in ME 215, ARO 2150 , or equivalent; and ARO 103L, ARO 1021L , or equivalent.
