PSY 6610 - Substance Use Problems: Individual, Family, and Group Processes (3) Exploration of theory, research, and clinical treatment of substance use disorders. Contemporary empirically supported approaches to substance use disorders. Includes discussion of drug effects, patterns of use, motivational interviewing, relapse prevention, family interventions, self-help programs, and methods of group therapy. 3 hours lecture/discussion
