SOC 3321 - Sociology of the Family (3) Sociology of the Family examines the social, political, and cultural development of the family as a social institution. Focus upon the structural and micro impact of family (dys)functions, cultural, transnational, the growing significance of gender, sexuality, socioeconomic status, race and ethnicity on family as an institution. Examination of both historical and contemporary policies and laws that keep the family as an institution.
Prerequisite(s): SOC 201, SOC 2201 or CRM 2201 . Component(s): Lecture Grading Basis: Graded Only Repeat for Credit: May be taken only once
