Design philosophy. System and subsystem design for launch vehicles. Mission planning. Trade studies; statistical design, parameter estimation. Manufacturing, cost estimating, trajectories, optimization, launch services. Oral and written presentations.

Prerequisite(s): C or better in ARO 201L, ARO 309, ARO 329, ARO 401, ARO 404, and ARO 406.
Component(s): 2 three-hour laboratories.
