ARO 201L - Fundamentals of Systems Engineering (1)


History and purpose of systems engineering. Team system design and oral presentation project. System life cycle. Needs analysis; consideration of ethical, social, economic contemporary issues and environmental factors in the system-design process. Risk analysis and trade study process. Role of the engineer in system design. Program planning and control. Engineering documentation. Principles of technical writing.

Prerequisite(s): ARO 102L  and ARO 202L .
Component(s): 1 three-hour laboratory.
