General Education Requirements

The Aerospace Engineering Department offers an Aerospace Engineering program leading to a Bachelor of Science degree.

The Aerospace Engineering program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, https://www.abet.org, under the General Criteria and the Program Criteria for Aerospace and Similarly Named Engineering Programs.

Students are required to complete 6 units of technical electives. Any combination of courses from the two emphases would satisfy this requirement. Emphases are listed to provide guidance for selecting courses that best fit to your career goals.

Graduation Writing Test

The Graduation Writing Test (GWT) is suspended until Fall 2025. Students entering Cal Poly Pomona before Fall 2025 are not required to take the Graduation Writing Test.
