Successful completion of History - Pre-Credential Option meets the subject matter competency requirement for prospective teachers seeking a California Single Subject Credential in Social Sciences. US History Emphasis: 6 units
Select 6 units from list with consent of advisor. Some upper division history courses may count in any emphasis.
European History Emphasis: 9 units
Select 9 units from list with consent of advisor. Some upper division history courses may count in any emphasis.

Graduation Writing Test
All persons who receive undergraduate degrees from Cal Poly Pomona must pass the Graduation Writing Test (GWT). The test must be taken by the semester following completion of 60 units for undergraduates.
