Education Specialist credentials authorize candidates to teach in grades K-12 and students up to age 22. The program of study for Preliminary Education Specialist Credentials includes required competencies for teaching English Language learners and teaching students with autism spectrum disorders. Admission to the program is required before any Core Courses can be taken. Candidates wishing to concurrently earn the Bilingual Authorization must consult the coordinator of the Bilingual Program for admission to the program and develop a program plan.
